Navient has been repeatedly calling my personal cell phone several times a day, and occasionally late at night. In addition to repeatedly calling, on Tuesday XX/XX/2022 they deceptively contacted me through a third party, using a local phone number that was unfamiliar to me and that Navient has never used before ( The number used was XXXX ). When I answered the phone I was told by a woman that someone, on a different line wanted to talk to me about business between us. No name of the person or company or nature of the business was disclosed prior to being transferred to the other line. When I was connected, a person identified themselves and that they were with Navient trying to collect a debt. These practices by Navient are abusive and deceptive, but this seems to be par for the course with them. Also in light of recent lawsuits against them, I am beginning to think that my first complaint against them was valid and that they are illegally trying to collect a debt that was discharged in bankruptcy, as they have done with other people as well. Navient was not present for the bankruptcy hearing to object to my debt being XXXX and nothing was mentioned by the court that they would object.
