I had a lease with Hyundai from XXXX XXXX XX/XX/2021 and completed the terms of the lease full ( attached you will find a paid in full email sent to me from Hyundai Motor Finance ). HMF then disabled my autopay and ability to make payments as the terms of the lease were met in full. I then signed a contract for a lease extension from XXXX XXXX XX/XX/2021 ( attached you will find the lease extension contract effective XX/XX/2021 ). Hyundai Motor Finance claims that they sent me various letters on XX/XX/2021, XX/XX/2021, and XX/XX/2021 asking me to return my lease vehicle ( these are all letters that I never received and I would like PROOF that these letters were actually mailed or emailed and not sitting in their database ). It makes no sense that HMF would send me letters to return a lease vehicle after having a signed lease extension on XXXX this means that HMF broke their contractual agreement and incorrectly documented that they sent me notices to return my vehicle based on the old contact and not the new one. HMF also reported that they spoke to me on the phone on XX/XX/2021 asking me to return the vehicle which is untrue ( I would like a transcript of the call ). I actually called HMF ( they did not call me when we spoke ) asking why my payments are being blocked for my new lease extension agreement through XX/XX/2021. On that phone call HMF indicated that they had a delay in processing my lease extension contract and it was THEIR fault that my payment is not going through for the lease extension. HMF informed me that they would escalate in order to process the lease extension paperwork since it was their mistake. HMF then wrongly repossessed the vehicle that I was contractually entitled to have until XX/XX/2021 and additionally unfairly reported this information on all 3 credit bureaus even though the paperwork processing mistake was THEIRS and not mine. HMF has since reported it as a charge off for {$190.00} which is the cost of the wrongful repossession and not the cost of any car payment I missed. I have disputed this several times for over a year over the phone and in writing. This unfair credit reporting has cost me {>= $1,000,000} in lost mortgage loans, car loans and business loans due to the impact this has caused my credit score. If my credit report is not made clean by HMF I will be pursuing legal action and enforcing my rights under consumer law.
