On XX/XX/XXXX I had contacted EdFinancial via customer service line to request a complete refund for all federal student loan payments I made between XX/XX/XXXX- XX/XX/XXXX due to financial hardship. The total for all loan payments I made between this period totaled {$4500.00}. The representative stated that to reinstate my loan and receive a refund for these payments, it would take a total of 150 days OR MORE to complete this request and an additional 10 days to receive a refund. I believe waiting nearly at minimum 5 months for a full refund of my federal student loan is completely unfair, especially when I am seeking refund of my loan payments due to financial hardship. To continue, I requested a confirmation email from the representative for record that the refund request has been made and it has been officially recorded EdFinancial 's system, to which the representative stated she could not provide me any type of confirmation and that I should just call back in a months time to get an update. I thought this was completely unfair considering I was put on hold for XXXX HOURS until I was able to speak to a representative about this.
