This was closed because it was not specific. I will make it specific. XXXX mortgage took over my account in XXXX. It was about 5 yrs old. The 30 year term ended in XX/XX/XXXX XXXX in other words, all payments were made at that time. HOWEVER- even though the contracted payments were all made, they still claim I owe 1/2 of what I started with after 30 yrs of payments. In XXXX of XXXX I was selling the property and trying to get a payoff from them. I didn't pay because the payments were all made. Why should I make payments on a mature loan? They reported me late XXXX -- you verify it and it comes back in a day. I want specifics. It is incorrect. Further its a cares act violation. I was involved in a forbearance and it was current so its illegal for them to report it late. All credit reporting and letters are forwarded to XXXX. how can someone in XXXX determine the laws of the XXXX for credit reporting? they just send the same documents and do not do anything -- but you accept them and do nothing to verify and that is why this complaint is coming to you. ACCT XXXX I will be pursuing this- trust me.
