In my last communication with TRANSUNION, they responded that they verified that the accounts that I disputed were accurate. I would like to know what method of investigation was used to verify these accounts and inquiries. According to 15 USC 1681b any consumer reporting agency may furnish a consumer report under the following circumstances and no other : ( 1 ) In response to the order of a court having jurisdiction to issue such an order, a subpoena issued in connection with proceedings before a Federal grand jury, or a subpoena issued in accordance with section 5318 of title 31 or section 3486 of title 18. ( 2 ) In accordance with the written instructions of the consumer to whom it relates. Was a court order issued or was my written permission given? This is defamation of character and aggravated identity theft. I have attached dispute letters with the accounts, inquiries and late payments that I want removed and updated along with an ID Theft Report and an affidavit of truth. My next step will be a civil suit.
