My on-line bank account was breached on XXXX XX/XX/2022 ; during the breach the thieves emptied my on-line savings account of {$10000.00} and charged my on-line credit account {$11000.00}. Since that date, I have been in steady contact with my bank ( Pentagon Federal Credit Union ) concerning the breach. The bank initially responded by freezing my account. Then, after corresponding with them about the way ahead, the bank created an entirely new account for me with a new account number. This allowed me to continue to bank and use my credit card pending the conclusion of the bank 's fraud investigation into the hack. However, time has continued to pass ( almost four months ) since the incident and my savings account funds have not been restored, nor have the funds from my line of credit. I have two concerns : the first, is whether the line of credit ( which continues to show an on-line balance and past due payments ) will affect my credit rating ; and second, that my savings will be restored. I have contacted the bank between 25-30 times since the incident, repeating the story over and over ; been assured that the bank was fixing the problem and other varied explanations and as of this date, have received no relief from the problem. I will provide any additional information on demand. Thank you.
