XX/XX/XXXX- converted existing Capital One credit card ( limit {$8500.00} ) to a Capital One Venture Card. Converted because part of the offer listed in the bullet points in my online user portal was an offer of a XXXX mile bonus if I charged a least {$4000.00} within the first three months of having the card. XX/XX/XXXX - still had not received any further information or indication of the offer being " live. '' Called Capital One customer service. First person I spoke with said she couldn't find the offer, put me on hold, and hung up on me. Called again. Second person I spoke with put me on hold several times and finally told me that because I saw the offer in my online portal, they were going to honor it. He said he was transferring me to someone to be sure the offer was activated. The next person who came on the phone proceeded to tell me that they would not honor the offer. The call was RECORDED- please access the company 's recording to confirm that this is what he told me. Again, this call was recorded by Capital One. The call happened on XX/XX/XXXX beginning at XXXX XXXX Central time and ending at approximately XXXX XXXX Central Time. There is no refuting a recording. I would like to receive the offer that was given to me in order to entice me to convert to a Venture card. By converting to this card my annual fee was increased, but it was worth it due to the bonus offer. The company is trying to not honor the offer it gave to me online, and that it then promised to me on the phone in this phone call. This is deceptive as a business practice.
