I was employed at XXXX XXXX owned by XXXX XXXX from XX/XX/XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX. Upon my time working there, I also lived on-site and had to sign an employee lease addendum that discussed my rental discount as well as giving me the option to either terminate my lease within 7 days or being fired/quoting or continue using the lease without a discount. Once I quit, I moved off of the property within the seven days. My previous manager sent my account to collections and since XXXX has refused to provide proper documentation of the employee lease addendum. I have emailed multiple times and I have called the office. When calling she has a leasing team member tell me " unfortunately. We no longer have your information on file. '' That is incorrect. By law the company is required to keep tenant 's paperwork on file for seven years in the event of any issues, collections, or rental verification.
