I attempted to close my saving account 3 months ago. At the time, was told that I needed to first drop it to a XXXX balance and the account would be closed. I transferred out the XXXX on XX/XX/18 to XXXX the balance. I then went back to close the account on the XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX but the system would not allow it although I very clearly had a XXXX balance. Last night I was charged a {$12.00} fee, 3 days before the other fees were assessed and called in to rectify. I was told by the agent that I now had a negative balance of {$12.00} and would need to get that to XXXX before I could close the account. I asked to reverse the fee to which he said he can not due to the fact that I do not have a relationship beyond the savings account. It should be noted that I also have a XXXX mortgage with this once decent bank. Note - This was originally an employee account which allowed for no fees on savings regardless of balance. When I left XXXX, I was never provided a disclosure, electronic or otherwise, of a change in fee structure.
