I am currently trying to refinance my home and the mortgage company is unable to pull my Equifax credit score. I had this issue a few months ago when another lender tried to pull my score for a loan and said there was a freeze or lock on my account. I had contacted Equifax numerous times and explained the situation and was told there was no lock or freeze on the account and that there should be no issues. The lender tried to pull the score again and had the same outcome. I contacted Equifax again and they advised me to fax in a cover letter, social security card, etc. and explain the situation. Again, I was told there was no issue. My lender has to pull from all three bureaus and this is holding up the process. This has also kept me from obtaining other loans in the past. I really need this issue resolved as soon as possible as I am under time constraints from the bank.
