Last year in XXXX I submitted and was approved for a school tax exemption for this tax year to be paid in XX/XX/2022. This exemption accounts for roughly 67 % of my total taxes. I promptly sent the approval notification from the County Tax Commissioner to the company servicing my loan. In XXXX, several months after receiving the exemption, the company completed an escrow analysis and failed to reflect the exemption. The result indicated a shortage instead of what was, in fact, a surplus. I called the company and they said that they could not recognize the exemption without and actual tax bill despite the fact that escrow projections are frequently done without actual tax bills for loans on new construction. Actual tax bills were issued last week so I called the company and was told now that the bill must be paid before they can consider it for escrow. The story changes every time I speak to them, and this runaround needs to stop.
