I bought a XXXX XXXX in XXXX and financed it through Hyundai Motor Finance. I moved states from XXXX to XXXX, and requested a state title transfer through their website on XX/XX/XXXX. Their online tracker said " Your request is currently being reviewed. Please allow up to 5 business days. '' and has not moved since, as of today, XX/XX/XXXX. I called customer service on XX/XX/XXXX as the time had passed and I had not heard any updates. They said they would expedite the request and I was sent a secure message on Hyundai Capital America 's secure messaging service with the information I could provide to expedite and that " Upon receipt of the information above, we will send the required documentation to your new state within ten ( 10 ) business days. '' I replied immediately that day with the requested information. The 10th business day would have been XX/XX/XXXX, but they never sent the title to the new DMV. I followed up on XX/XX/XXXX via phone call to Hyundai Motor Finance and they gave me a reference number and told me again that they would expedite the issue and I would have an update within 5 business days, which would have been XX/XX/XXXX. I called again this morning, XX/XX/XXXX, to check the status and was told there are no updates and that the issue has already been escalated, and that there is nothing they can do and I just have to wait. In the state of XXXX, you have up to 60 days to transfer your title and registration. We are well beyond halfway to that point and there hasn't been a single update since stating this process, no end in sight. I am able to contact customer service, but it leads to no movement, let alone a resolution. I am concerned that I will be fined or that I will be unable to drive the car I purchased through Hyundai.
