Consumer Narrative
On XX/XX/XXXX I went to XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX looking for a used vehicle. When I went into the Finance Dept to see the XXXX XXXXr, XXXX XXXX to go over my loan details. I asked about a GAP insurance, since I always purchase this with used cars, XXXX XXXX told me I did not need GAP insurance but in order to get the loan I had to buy the extended warranty which was {$240.00} due to my crediting score. XXXX XXXX did not ask me if I needed any other add on insurance, which he took it upon himself to check " NO ''. He had the contract up on his computer screen and ask that I sign on a pad to finalize the loan. He informed me about the extended warranty which was {$240.00} and I signed on the pad. He gave me a vehicle protection plan pamphlet and that was the information for the warranty. He then printed up some paperwork and handed them to me. I had already been telling the use car manager, XXXX XXXX that I did not believe my vehicle had been inspected as required by law, where I told him of all the red flags I had been coming across but he said it was which I continue to tell him this but ignored or change the conversation. On XX/XX/XXXX I went to get the pamphlet, which I thought was my policy for the extended warranty because my car was not riding the way it should be but rough. As I took out the pamphlet I realized that's all it was a pamphlet advertising the protection plan to purchase. I looked though the other paperwork given to me by XXXX XXXX and found no policy. Looking through my breakdown of finance charges I realized there was a {$240.00} charge but labeled " vehicle care protection '' which I did not know what this meant and I also did see above that another charge for {$1500.00} for " vehicle Protection Plan. '' I became upset cause again I felt this dealership had taken advantage of me, woman, XXXX, XXXX XXXX, on fix income with XXXX grandkids to support and under stress due to the fact I had just been in a total loss accident not my fault totaling my previous vehicle and need a vehicle to work and care for them. I texted XXXX XXXX to tell him I needed to talk to him on XXXX first thing on XXXX due to what I had just discovered. I went to XXXX XXXX and spoke to XXXX XXXX and he told me I had to talk to the Finance Director, XXXX. XXXX came over and I told him what I had just discovered on what I had been sold and the ammounts which had been presented to me as only car extended warranty at {$240.00}. XXXX explained what the vehicle care protection was and I told him I was NEVER told about this and not interested nor given any paperwork on the extended warranty and I need to have my car checked. XXXX tried to convince me why I needed the car maintenance which consist of 3 oil changes and XXXX was his top performer. I told XXXX I had already done 2 full synthetic oil changes out of my own pocket cause I did not ask for this protection. XXXX went and printed me out the paper for the oil change and told me I could get the next 3 oil changes there, I told him I did not want this cause I did not trust this dealership and wanted nothing to do with them. Yet, XXXX NEVER provided me with any policy or papers for the extended warranty which he knew I needed. XXXX got upset cause I was telling him I had gotten cheated and XXXX by them and went to his office. I did ask XXXX XXXX I wanted the {$240.00} back cause I had never asked or been informed of oil changes only extended warranty which was {$240.00} yet I was charged {$1500.00}. I have never heard back from non these people nor corporate where I have been trying to get help from but they have ignored me. I believe I was " FORCED ', mislead and mispresented the item forced on me.
