I was checking my credit score recently and noticed that there was a new collections account on my credit file. I expected a decrease in my credit scores with all 3 CRA 's. What I didn't expect was a XXXX point deduction in my Equifax credit score. So I called on XX/XX/2022 to try and resolve the issue and find out why this had happened. I was treated horribly and had to call back about the same issue several times, because I couldn't get any assistance from customer service that I needed. From XX/XX/2022 to XX/XX/2022 my Equifax credit score had been a steady XXXX. On XX/XX/2022 the Equifax credit score plummeted XXXX points to a score of XXXX due to the report of XXXX collections account. XXXX and XXXX XXXX Scores only dropped XXXX points. I want to know how this could happen from XXXX collections account? After recently being made aware of the Equifax Coding Error with their credit scores it truly concerns me that after repairing my credit to a reasonable score of XXXX this company would allow my score to get depleted beyond the standard deduction of XXXX points. My score is currently a XXXX, so I see they have added XXXX points back to my score, but where is the other XXXX points? My score should've been no less than a XXXX after a XXXX point deduction for the collections account. The other CRA 's only deducted XXXX points. Please note from XX/XX/2022 to XX/XX/2022 my XXXX Credit score gained back the XXXX points putting my score with them back to a XXXX. Equifax is hindering my ability to obtain any credit I currently may need to obtain to survive and provide for my family. The XXXX points that they've deducted from my score with them has under minded my plan and goal to rebuild my credit. This coding error that Equifax has claimed responsibility for has significantly affected more consumers than the XXXX they claim it only affected.
