I am a victim of identity theft. I called the NCTUE phone number XXXX to obtain opt-out of prescreened promotions. I have contacted National Consumer Telecom & Utilities Exchange via several certified letters ( 3 certified letters ) and have asked for PEMANENT opt-out of prescreened promotions. I provided NCTUE will all the documents that they required to process the permanent opt-out, including copy of my NM driver 's license, copy of social security card, name, address, date of birth, XXXX Police report, FTC identity theft report. I have received a letter confirming the 5-year opt out. However, I asked for PERMANENT opt-out and this has NOT been accomplished by NCTUE. I would like cfpb 's assistance in this matter. thank you.
