Consumer Narrative
I have repeatedly contact Experian about debt collection accounts on my credit report that shows debts that I'm unsure if is mine or not. The debt collection accounts in question are : XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have reached out to each debt collector at the address provided on my Experian credit report, yet I have not received any documents to notify me of my right to dispute a debt nor have I received any documents that shows a itemize calculation of the amount each debt collector state I owe to them. I invoked my right under the FCRA for a thorough investigation, only for Experian to auto verify each account in question without no explanation other than they contact the debt collector who verified it. How is it that Experian is able to contact the debt collector, yet I am unable to reach any of them. I have been in the process of purchasing a home and Experian has caused me financial harm by continuing to report these unvalidated debts to my credit report. Furthermore, Experian is continuing to report a inaccurate and expired account on my credit report. The account in question is XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have continue to dispute the date of last delinquency, which was beyond 7 years ago. According to FCRA, reporting agencies are only allowed to report negative or adverse items to my credit report for no more than 7 years from the date I went late with the original creditor and it resulted in the account being charged off. Again, I don't understand how Experian is verifying another account without properly investigation, they are also reaging this account to continue to report it longer than it should be. I have confirmed with XXXX XXXX that they aren't reporting this account to my credit report. So, if they aren't reporting it, why is it still on my credit report. Lastly, Experian continues to re-added a debt to my credit report without notifying me that the debt will be re-added or properly verifying it. The debt that is being held with XXXX XXXX XXXX has been bought and resold to multiple debt XXXX. The previous debt collector of this debt was XXXX XXXX XXXX, who didn't validate the debt upon me asking for validation, they ignored me and sold it to XXXX XXXX who reported to Experian who placed it back on my credit report. This is a continuous cycle with this debt. If this debt is valid, why isn't the debt collectors verifying it. Why do Experian continue to re-add this debt to my credit report without notifying me. In summary, I am frustrated, mentally stress, and financially strapped from this back and forth with Experian and I'm tired of it. My next move is to seek damages with my local courts because apparently Experian is of no help. Experian is the ONLY credit reporting agency that's reporting these accounts, they have been removed/deleted from XXXX and XXXX, which has led me to believe, it's Experian who is reporting this debt and not the debt collector or the original creditor. To be clear, I am seeking help with the following accounts : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX
