Consumer Narrative
I opened an account with Capitol One Bank online. I made a typo in my Social Security Number. To correct this problem I was required to submit a W9 online. I did submit the W9 ; however, I went into the branch with my social security card, 1099, letters from Social Security and other tax forms but -- -despite asking me to bring these documents and come back with other documents -- -Capitol One has refused to allow me to access my accounts ; though my pay was directly deposited and thus I am unable to pay rent or other bills.
