Consumer Narrative
I previously requested that you, the CFPB, investigate into a matter on my behalf, and I believe that I did not receive a fair and equitable solution with regards to confidentially or accuracy per 15 U.S.C. 1681 ( b ). Equifax has stated to me, and you the CFPB, that they have " verified '' that the disputed information belongs to me, and that the information reporting is 100 % truthful and accurate. I disagree with said results. By the way, I never consented to XXXX verification, and do not consent to XXXX being used as a method to verify information going forward. I would also like to now request any and ALL physical documentation that Equifax used to verify the following disputed information for : XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( SAME ACCOUNT REPORTING TWICE!! HOW?! ) ; XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ; XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I also previously informed you that Equifax ignored me, and did not respond to multiple disputes upon proof of receiving them. 15 U.S. Code 1681i is the most basic law out of all, and they did not follow this. That alone is grounds for removal of the disputed information!! Equifax did not decide to move forward with my disputes until I involved you, the CFPB, to handle my request. I also informed you, the CFPB, as to which laws were being violated, as well as the reasons why, yet, you did nothing. I also informed both you, the CFPB, and Equifax, that my private nonpublic information is being shared with Equifax by these financial institutions and collection agencies, -which I did not consent to. This is against the law! You did nothing to ensure the protection of my personal information! There were several violations, but you, the CFPB did not have Equifax remove the data for any of those reasons!! How could Equifax be following the law when companies like " XXXX XXXX XXXX '', " XXXX XXXX XXXX '', AND " XXXX XXXX XXXX '' are still reporting!? Explain to me how they also obtained my personal information!! How did they obtain my social security number and other data to be able to furnish information onto my credit report??? Who gave it to them? Where is the documentation? CFPB, why are you allowing this to happen??!!
