Consumer Narrative

I looked at my consumer report on XX/XX/2022 from Equifax and found that my consumer report score was incorrect. I called Equifax XX/XX/2022, spoke to a representative and gave them my information for identity to show it was me. I explained what was wrong in my consumer report score and that I was a customer that was a victim of the Equifax issuing wrong scores. I simply told the rep about Equifax privacy policy and he told me that is not there privacy policy. In the Eqifax data sharing policy it states Consent In general, Equifax shares personal credit data with organizations that have the data subject 's consent to request receive and use it for the particular purpose ( s ) for which it will be used. Who is the data subject and why isnt my name? Am I the data subject Equifax is referring too? Is this telling me Equifax does not move without my consent or is it saying you got the consent from me telling someone else that they had consent to do this? When Equifax claim I gave consent it was not clear and conspicuous, Equifax made me think I had to opt in when I could have opted out according to Graham leach bailey act for nonpersonal information. It was never made clear to me what was going on. What is my personal credit data being used for? If it needed to be reported why does Equifax need consent. 15 usc 1681 a ( 3 ) ( 3 ) Consumer reporting agencies have assumed a vital role in assembling and evaluating consumer credit and other information on consumers.
