My soon-to-be ex-wife and I are going through a divorce. In XXXX XXXX she placed the mortgage in a 6 month Covid-19 hardship forbearance telling Wells Fargo she was experiencing a hardship related to Covid-19. She extended the Forbearance for 3 months in XX/XX/XXXX and then for another 3 months in XXXX XXXX. There was never a hardship related to Covid-19, in fact, we are both fully employed and benefitted greatly from Covid-19 ( She is a XXXX, I am in XXXX XXXX ). Our income only increased and increased greatly. She used the forbearance to avoid paying the mortgage and instead, to take several dozen out of state trips. She frauded Wells Fargo and the Federal Government out of tens of thousands of dollars. The past due amount was in excess of {$50000.00} and she fraudulently extended the mortgage from a 15 year loan to a 40 year loan with the same 2.7 % interest rate. This is not an individual who was negatively impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic and is utilizing the less fortunate for her personal gain. This individual had more than enough liquid assets ( cash ) to pay the past due amount 2 times over. She chose to default on the loan to be eligible for the streamlined mo Wells Fargo Account # XXXX
