For years -- yes, for years -- I have been unable to get a credit report from Equifax. Whenever I go through the process of verifying my identity, the recorded voice tells me that they could not verify me. But I'm quite confident that I answer the questions used to verify my identity correctly, since I refer to a different credit report to confirm dates and accounts before answering the questions. I went through this twice today, XX/XX/2022. When I couldn't get my identity verified through their automated system, I wasted a couple of hours trying to get my an agent to provide my credit report and unfreeze my credit. I waited on the phone for well over an hour before finally giving up. Equifax 's phone queue doesn't provide an estimated wait time or the chance to request a callback. How long am I supposed to wait? I tried using their " myEquifax '' portal but could not log in and they would not let me reset my password. I could not create a new account because they told me I already had one. So using the telephone is my only option outside of the lengthy process of collecting a variety of personal information and sending it for verification. This is ridiculous. The other credit bureaus have no problem confirming my identity. What's wrong with Equifax?
