I was recently victim to fraud. There were two attempts on XX/XX/22. Someone tried to apply for credit in my name. I don't know how this happened as my credit is locked with all three entities. XXXX and XXXX caught it and notified me. I was able to place a fraud alert with them. The issues is I am not able to access my Experian account, even though I have a lock on it they still gave the creditor access to my report. I have tried several times by phone and had hours of endless searching for an email address, online service department, chat options and any other way for me to contact the company. None of the phone numbers I could find will transfer me to a live person to get the situation taken care of their system just hangs up on me and tells me to go to the website, which I am not able to access. When I try to get my Experian web account the password isn't working. I attempted a reset and get messages Experian is sending the information to an email that is not mine. Experian has made it impossible for consumers and especially consumers victim to fraud to get issues resolved. They do not provided valid phone numbers for resolution for multiple issues. Where is there accountability and responsibility to the consumers they monitor? 1. I can not access my web account and the password reset is sending information to an email that is not mine. 2. customer service numbers are recorded and will not transfer to a live person to get resolution for complicated issues 3. no email or chat options are available to get a hold of the company for resolution and fraud alert to this serious and multifaceted issue 4. they are handing out my information and it appears the website or data basis have been compromised. 5.they are essential for my credit safety and reporting but have no way for me to get a hold of them when there is a serious issue.
