I have reached out to Transunion recently in regards to some accounts reporting on my credit file that never belonged to me nor did I request any credit for. Transunion responded to my dispute accusing me of using a credit repair company. Even though it isn't illegal to use a credit repair service, I am very knowledgeable and informed when it comes to information pertaining to the Fair Credit Reporting Act. I find this response from Transunion unacceptable without showing or declaring any proof of their claim. Transunion failure to investigate this matter is a clear violation of the FCRA as well my rights as a consumer and victims of identity theft.
