In short, Hyundai has reported missed payments on my credit report in XX/XX/XXXX months of XXXX. I returned the vehicle in XX/XX/XXXX and no further reporting should be notated on my credit profile. As a result of this inaccurate reporting, No other lender will give me a loan or a credit card because it shows that I have severe delinquency with another lender ( Hyundai ). Below is the full recount of what happened and how the XXXX 's negligence has negatively impacted me for 2 years now. Please fix this issue. I returned my vehicle to XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX and purchased a new vehicle from them. The lease on the vehicle matured and was due back to Hyundai in XXXX of XXXX, but I explained to Hyundai my desire to want to purchase the car. There were challenges acquiring a used car loan for the amount that Hyundai was looking for and on top of all of this, the pandemic had begun and jobs were lost. I explained the delays in acquiring a loan and asked Hyundai could I continue making monthly payments to them until I was able to secure a loan on the vehicle and they declined my offer. Told me I need to get a loan or bring in the car. By this point I was not near the vehicle and had gone to XXXX to care for my sick grandmother who had XXXX and the vehicle was in XXXX. I explained this to Hyundai and they ended up writing off the car as a profit/loss write off in XX/XX/XXXX. This was unbeknownst to me and I did not see it hit my credit until XX/XX/XXXX. I stayed in XXXX until The end of XX/XX/XXXX then returned to XXXX at which point I drove to XXXX and returned the vehicle XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX never reported this XXXX Hyundai as being turned in. From XXXX XXXX XXXX I got dinged for missed payments on the Hyundai vehicle that I turned in and I disputed it every month to no avail. Finally in XXXX of XXXX I got a letter stating that XXXX XXXX XXXX had the vehicle towed and listed this vehicle as abandoned in lot with no keys. This happened as a result of poor practices during the return of the vehicle and on top of that, someone at their establishment lost the keys. It took 3 months of back and forth between myself, Hyundai, and XXXX XXXX XXXX before XXXX finally admitted to Hyundai that I returned the vehicle 8 months prior to the date they reported it being turned in. Mind you, this whole time Im being dinged for missed payments on a profit loss write off and my credit score dropped XXXX points due to this! It wasnt until XXXX of XXXX, YES A WHOLE YEAR LATER, that Hyundai Motor Finance sent me a payoff letter for the amount owed. This letter they sent me was incorrect and stated I owed XXXX ( because they auctioned off the vehicle ) when in fact I only owed XXXX. Hyundai made the correction and I paid the balance in full once the correction was made in XX/XX/XXXX. At this point I made the SIMPLE REQUEST that Hyundai corrects the verbiage and reporting on my credit report and remove ALL missed payments in XXXX because I turned that vehicle in during XXXX. They have yet to remove those missed payments. If any missed payments are shown on my credit, it should be from XXXX XXXX and then the vehicle should be listed as a profit/loss Write off from XXXX XXXX XXXX There should be no reporting from Hyundai post XX/XX/XXXX! A historical edit needs to be made IMMEDIATELY. I Have been unable to secure any other type of credit or funding due to this error in reporting and it is inaccurate. Furthermore we were in the midst of a pandemic. Due to the negligence of XXXX XXXX XXXX and the inability of Hyundai to accurately report on my credit report, I am now requesting that ALL negative remarks be fully expunged from my credit report and no mention of any write off be made. All late payments need to be fully removed and the o my thing that should be stated is Paid in full/Closed account
