Consumer Narrative
I filed a dispute with Experian on or around XXXX XX/XX/2022. The dispute was regarding an account with XXXX. The date the dispute was allegedly processed was XXXX XX/XX/2022. Miraculously, the results of that dispute were processed on XXXX XX/XX/2022. In looking at the notes from the Experian specialist, all it says is " CFPB Complait XXXX. '' Experian was provided with XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) pages worth of documentation. That documentation is supposed to be reviewed by the specialist, transmitted with wth the XXXX code to the data furnisher, be reviewed by the data-furnisher, be transmitted back to Experian, and reviewed by a specialist before the information is updated. That did not happen. In fact, the before and after snapshots of the account/trade-line do not show a change in any consumer data. Yet, Experian insists the credit file was " updated ''. In all likelihood, the extent with which Experian actually conducted an investigation was to request an auomatic update of information from the data-furnisher, rather than selecting the appropriate XXXX code such that an individual with the data-furnisher could manully review the information. Of note is the the supplied documentation was generated by the data-furnisher itself, which would warrant a manual review under Experian 's XXXX. At this point, Experian is engaging in deceptive business practices, claiming disputes are investigated, showing the progression of a dispute through the investigatory process, and claiming that the consumer dispute and data-furnisher responses are reviewed. Clearly, that's not happening. What this means is Experian is failing to meet their obligations under the FCRA. In my case, they contine to harbor information in my credit files that based upon the documentation they know, or should know, is inaccurate.
