Consumer Narrative

I attempted to settle an account. When speaking with a representative, she said that in order to pay this, she needed updated personal information. She refused to accept payment without a lot personal information that I did not feel comfortable giving. Part of the reason she wanted this updated information was because they put this on my credit without notifying me first. She wanted the opportunity to rectify that. The ironic part was that I was trying to settle the debt and she wouldn't allow me to do so.
