I submitted both an FTC report as well as an online dispute concerning inquires that were not authorized by me. As soon as I unfreeze my credit report for access through my current employer, random companies will gain access to my credit report. I did not place any applications anywhere nor did I authorize the institutions to pull my report. I mentioned this to Equifax and also sent in documents to substantiate my claim, but instead I was treated as a thief, liar, and a common criminal. I am a confirmed victim of Identity Theft and my information was utilized without my knowledge or consent by a relative that committed an overwhelming amount of fraud against me. Instead of trying to assist me I was met with skepticism and disrespect by Equifax. Equifax has also failed to assist me in the removal of an account that was also as a result of Fraud. I was advised by their ( Equifax ) Fraud department that the account would be removed, but instead I am calling everyday and asking questions only to be hung up on and transferred to various departments that I have no necessity for.
