On XX/XX/2022 I authorized XXXX XXXX to pull my credit in the process of applying for a personal loan. During this process XXXX experienced some sort of internal error that they were unwilling to disclose to me. At some point in this process without my authorization on XX/XX/2022 they initiated a second hard inquiry that I did not give them permission to use. As they had already done a hard inquiry on the XXXX. After nearly a month on XX/XX/XXXX they sent me a letter denying my loan because they were unable to verify credit information. I tried to go through their corporate division and was told that there was no second hard inquiry on my credit and that everything that they did was correct even though clearly it is not. I tried to dispute this through Equifax and they also said that this inquiry was correct and it is not.
