Consumer Narrative
There was fraud on my checking account so I closed the account with the bank manager at my Wells Fargo branch on XX/XX/2022. At that point we opened a new account. On XX/XX/2022 the bank let a check for XXXX go through that was from the closed account and they took the money out of the new account. Wells Fargo has not refunded me the money even though they know it is fraud. I have been a customer for over 20 years and no know can give me an answer as to how this could happen when the account had a hard close on the account.
