In XXXX I was contacted by the company that serviced our loan for our solar panels, by the name of XXXX XXXX of Goodeap,. They wanted to see if we wanted to refinance our home to payoff our loan ( for solar ). At first, we could not qualify due to our credit report... In XXXX we were contacted again by XXXX XXXX from the same company using the same text number, with the same offer, but this time he stated that according to his report " we only needed to increase my credit by " XXXX '' point! He then sent me a email explaining how to qualify. I immediately did what was suggested to get qualified ... becuase I was now excited that we could free up some much needed money to help with medical expenses for my wife whom was coming of her battle with XXXX XXXX! Well he came back saying we were approved and sent a list of creditors that would need to be paid off to qualify for the loan. Well one of these was one of two derogatory account with only one of the three ( 3 ) credit buearus ( XXXX ). As soon as I recieved this information, I immediately contacted him to dispute the information ( XX/XX/2022 ). Explaining that that agency was not a creditor and had been removed from the other two ( 2 ) credit Bureaus the year prior. ( Note : the company even arrogantly posted its in dispute on the report ) Upon notification he spouted out a lot of Superflous gibberish to try to get me to move forward on the loan. He then assured that his team would working on the situation with the " Underwriters ''. Supposedly to get around this I would have to pay off more of my credit cards, so he gave me some amounts to pay on certain cards to now " requalify ''. This would give me time to get the ball rolling and get the derogatory information removed. I comply and do what was requested Well in early XXXX I'm contacted again and now what was requested was still not enough to bring my credit up to par to secure this loan! Well at this point I had to have a conversation on this nickel and dime approach and I was ready to call the whole thing off if this continued in this fashion. After a 2hr conversation. We came to the meeting of the minds and agreed on getting the derogatories ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) off of my report and pay off all my credit cards. On XX/XX/2022, I was contacted by XXXX XXXX to advise that my credit had met the threshold to get me qualified and wanted to get the ball rolling... We had a conversation that XXXX and XXXX were removed but I was still in the process of getting the XXXX removed. I wanted to wait, but XXXX XXXX wanted to get the ball rolling and assured that it could only improve my situation in the long run... A few days later My credit improved tremendously. I contacted XXXX XXXX to not only to inform him, but if it could improve the terms on the loan.. Well he blew me off and wanted to just continue as isn't becuase he could not guarantee any new terms ... and if the derogatory ( XXXX ) was removed that the check could be canx after the fact and re issued to me... In XXXX after a fly by night home inspection XXXX XXXX informed me that the inspection ( by a inspector of their choosing ) did not come out the way he expected and now we were getting less money... After ironing out his numbers we closed on XX/XX/XXXX and received the dispersment on the XXXX ... in the dispersment was two ( 3 ) checks that were for accounts that were in dispute... one we had noticed XXXX XXXX about several months prior ( XXXX ) and the other he knew was still in the process! The very next day I recieved notification that the account was removed from my XXXX XXXXeport. I immediately set the notification to XXXX XXXX. On the XXXX XXXX XXXX advised that the information provide was un acceptable. Stating that they need a letter from XXXX to confirm ... now note from the start of this process I exercised my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act to dispute this account ... in fact I did my due diligence to advise Goodleap, that XXXX was a third party debt collector not a creditor with no valid debut. After his email I had XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to be immediately taken to the hospital... Upon my release from the hospital I contacted XXXX XXXX 's assistant XXXX XXXX who had been involved with the process and I received the same story, But after a brief very tense conversation she agreed and requested that I supply an updated credit report showing the derogatories removed! That same day I recieved a call from an unknown " third party '' requesting my information, then wanted my permission to make a three party call to the bogus creditor to verify the debt ... I immediately refused exercising my rights under the FCRA. I immediately contacted XXXX XXXX to find out what was going on.. At first when she called, her Demeanor was cordial and professional but quickly became nasty and belligerent when I questioned her methods. She went from the person that had assured me that she " had my back '' when introduced into the process of the loan, assuring that she had my best interest at heart becuase her father was a veteran and how she understands our struggles ... to yelling and treating me, when challenged about giving up my right to challenge a creditor ( FCRA ) that had erroiusly and illegally placed false information on my report... she then told me that the account was closed ( note : my account was sold to a company called XXXX the day after closing ) and she did not have to address the issue. After an hour of tring to brow beat me into submission, when I requested her supervisor, she agreed to review the new credit report and have her supervisor call me .... I recieved an email with a label to send the report by mail, but no call from her supervisor! It took close to 10 days to recieve the new report from XXXX by mail ( the only one of buearus that had reported the erroneous ) ... During this time there was no contact by XXXX XXXX nor her supervisor! After receiving no contact from XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX a supervisor from Goodeap, I contacted XXXX XXXX whom issued the checks for Goodeap ... after being transferred several times, my information was taken so that the situation could be reviewed... I recieved a call from a representative of XXXX XXXXXXXX stating that they could not help me and Goodeap had to contact them to correct the situation .... On XXXX XXXX, XXXX I recieved a Email from XXXX XXXX asking for me to violate my rights under FCRA and conduct a " conference call '' with the company that illegally placed false information on my report... or Paper work showing I no longer have this debt ... you know the one that from " day one '' was disputed and showed up " under dispute '' on the credit report ( XXXX XXXX ). I immediately called the CFPB ... .while speaking to a counselor with the CFPB, I started getting texts XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX about sending him information about the investigation by the CFPB. I had to text him that I was in consultation at the time! After consultation, with the CFPB I text him with information pertinent to the case, with no response! On XX/XX/2022, I emailed XXXX XXXX, as advised, with the not only a current XXXX report, but with all three ( 3 ) credit Bureaus current reports, with all three ( 3 ) showing the removal or nonexistent debt to the two ( 2 ) derogatories ( XXXX XXXX XXXX )... please note XXXX XXXX was Provided proof close to two ( 2 ) months before closing that the XXXX was removed, so I do not understand why the XXXX check was even Issued! In conclusion, its been close to 10 days since I supplied XXXX XXXX ( goodleap ) with adequate information correct the situation and still no results... this is not my first rodeo... this is my sixth, but the only one with issues of this nature from beginning to end ... I constantly had to correct folks on my rights ... .I should have listened to my gut and the numerous mortgage nightmares listed on the XXXX web site... .not only did they he get me for over XXXX ( over $ XXXX ) then sold the mortgage before the ink was dry, they are holding hostage what little funs I cleared from the deal, for no reason..perhaps they are in some kind of business arrangement with the companies involved I don't know but this is highly suspect!
