My wife and I bought a home in XXXX. In XXXX, our mortgage was sold to another mortgage company. They informed us that we did not have enough money in our escrow to cover a one-time payment of our county taxes the following year, so we were told we had the option of upping our monthly bill or seeding the account with more money to cover the difference. In XX/XX/XXXX when our county tax bill came due, the mortgage company submitted a semiannual payment instead of an annual payment. Because of this, we stood to lose a small discount on our county tax bill. More at issue was that the mortgage company 's words from XXXX and their actions in XXXX did not match, which was frustrating. We contacted their customer service desk XXXX and were given the run-around with no clear resolution. We sent their accounting department an e-mail stating that we would submit a complaint to the CFPB if they did not pay the rest of the bill -- we have not received a response yet.
