I had an auto lease with XXXX XXXX XXXX they are a division of the XXXX XXXX XXXX that was just found to provide inaccurate info on credit reports. I paid my lease in full, as the document I uploaded shows. When the pandemic started in XX/XX/XXXX, I called XXXX to ask what to do if everything shuts down before XX/XX/XXXX when my lease ended. They told me that as long as all my payments are made, I can bring the car back to the leasing dealer " anytime before XX/XX/XXXX without penalty '' or that I could keep the car until things open back up and continue to pay monthly payments. I opted to bring the car in on or about XX/XX/XXXX just before NY state shut down for about 18 months. In XX/XX/XXXX ( letter also uploaded ) XXXX contacted me stating that I had terminated my lease early and was being penalized. I responded ( letter uploaded ) explaining what I stated above. I thought the issue was resolved as I heard nothing else from them. In XX/XX/XXXX, I attempted to get a new mortgage and learned that XXXX has started identifying my CLOSED account as delinquent. I have attempted to dispute this with each of the 3 credit bureaus to no avail. I have written XXXX letters to XXXX since discovering this credit report issue. They have not responded. I have tried to call XXXX but get hung up on after several transfers. I do not know what to do and am now in a position of them damaging my credit. I have NEVER defaulted on any payment in my life. The power that both XXXX and the credit bureaus have to dictate my credit with lies is completely unfair. I have no ability to fix this on my own and need assistance.
