On XX/XX/2022 and XX/XX/2022 I inadvertently made two payments for the same amount ( {$1400.00} ) to my Capitol One Venture Card. When I realized the problem and checked my account, sure enough, I had a credit of that amount. I called to asked if I could either transfer those funds to my checking account ( the one tied to the credit card ) or use the funds to cover new charges. I was told, No, the only way you can recover those funds is by Capitol One sending you a paper checka process that will take approximately 14 days. If one adds the time it will take to cash the check and have access to the funds, Capitol One will be able to have access to the float for 17 days. Really?! Thats legal?
