Consumer Narrative
1. I sent a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX and addressed to XXXX to the following address, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, PA XXXX in regards to incorrect personal information on my credit report. In the letter, I informed XXXX of the incorrect personal information. I requested the information be removed to display only correct personal information. I received a response letter dated, XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX stating the following : " We applaud your recent efforts to take charge of your credit. We want you to know we're on your side, and we're here to help support you on your path toward credit health. We recently received a request that included your information, but it didn't appear that you or a properly authorized third party sent it to us. We take the privacy and security of your data very seriously, so we won't process requests unless they come directly from you or an authorized third party ... ... ... ... ... .. '' In their letter, they also requested a credit repair company identify themselves by providing proof that I gave authorization to a credit repair company to communicate on my behalf. There is no credit repair company or third party. As I sent the letters, it appears XXXX responded to my request to buy themselves some time and declined to correct or remove the information. As I reviewed my credit report today, XXXX recently added and updated my name as it is on the letter I sent to them and also did not remove the other incorrect information. My name is incorrectly spelled and I only go by one name. I want my personal information correctly reported. XXXX. I sent a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX and addressed it to Equifax to the following address, Equifax Information Services LLC, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, GA XXXX in regards to an outdated address on my credit report. In the letter, I informed Equifax of the outdated address and requested it be removed. As I reviewed my credit report today, the outdated address is still on my credit report. I want my personal information correctly reported including current information, not outdated information. It has been well over 30 days and neither credit reporting company has corrected the errors as I have requested.
