Hello, On XX/XX/XXXX I found evidence of identity theft on my credit report. I then realized that my identity had, in fact, been stolen. An address and multiple phone numbers were taken out in my name and used to obtain several credit cards including 2 from Capital One. One of those accounts has since been found as fraudulent however the other one remains. That account has a due balance of {$460.00} and was opened on XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX. Several times I have filed fraud notifications with the company and each time they continue to tell me that they find no evidence of fraud. Each " investigation '' seems to last only a couple of days. I have never been contacted with an explanation other than that they " have found no evidence of fraud ''. After speaking with multiple representatives I have discovered that since the address and phone number matches my name, Capital One will not identify the account as fraud. Recently I have submitted a full police report containing my sworn statements & a possible suspect, my tax returns with proof of my address and phone number from XXXX & XXXX, an email from the landlord of the property the card was sent to stating that I have never lived there, an affidavit I signed for another bank concerning fraudulent activity on a card sent to the same address, a letter from another bank explaining that fraudulent activity had been found, and a picture of my license. After sending all of this, I received yet another letter within 2 days saying no fraudulent activity has been found due to " limited information '' provided. This is the MOST information I have ever sent to any bank. Please, I need help. I am willing to cooperate, I just need someone from the fraud team willing to work with me.
