To whom this may concern, This is a formal complaint about the shady tactics of Kinston Data and Credit. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX # XXXX, XXXX, ON XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX is the lady I have been dealing with. There are two main complaints about this company that I would like to state and address : 1. ) I Requested a debt verification letter shortly after I was aware Kingston Data and credit was after this alleged debt. I have documentation that I had requested this on XXXX XXXX, 2021. It was accompanied with a cease and desist letter/ request. I did not actually receive any verification of debt until more than a year later. As well, I was continued to be harassed and contacted even after this legal right of mine was exercised. This is most likely a common practice by this company to ignore consumer rights and laws. I will attach the request I made, and I doubt they have evidence they have sent me any sort of documentation they provided me, especially in the given timeline. 2. ) I was requested to pay a large amount of interest that was stated no where in the original contract with the original creditor. The only opportunity I was given to pay this debt would have been an erroneous incorrect amount. This should not be allowed where collection companys put whatever amount they wish and force consumers to pay it. This amount was never correct until she reported me to the credit bureaus. I will also attach documentation that I was asked to pay more then the legal amount with interest on this collections account. The original contract has never stated anything about interest. I have paid this account because I didnt know what else to do at this point. However I believe I have grounds to have this collections removed at the very least based, on the unethical practices of this Company. Thank you for your time, and I hope to hear back from you
