Consumer Narrative
My name is XXXX XXXX and I, as a consumer, am making this complaint against Transunion. This complaint is relating to the CHARGE OFF account from XXXX XXXX, ACCOUNT NUMBER XXXX. Transunion has been inaccurately reporting information on my consumer report. Pursuant to 15 USC 1681 ( a ) ( 1 ), the banking system is dependent upon my consumer report being fair and accurate. Not only is the information inaccurate, I was never notified when this information was furnished, and during your company 's initial investigation that this information would be reported. This grave error has undermined my confidence in Transunion 's procedures. This unfortunate mishap has ruined my reputation and adversely affected my credit worthiness. Pursuant to 15 USC 1681 ( a ) ( 2 ), Transunion is a powerless elaborate mechanism. Also, Transunion ASSUMED this role. Transunion was never given express permission by me, the consumer, or a competent court of jurisdiction. So, not only did Transunion fail in the initial investigation of this information, Transunion ASSUMED this role and assumed this information was valid ; which is a violation of my consumer rights. Transunion did not insure that this information being reported was accurate and did not exercise their grave responsibility with fairness and impartiality. Transunion took one side of the story and never consulted with me to ascertain if this transaction even took place. My right to privacy has been breached and violated. ( SEE EXHIBIT A ). Congress has made it abundantly clear that a consumer report SHOULD NOT include transactions between the consumer and the person making the report. This is another violation of my federally protected rights. I was never given opportunity to deny this information being communicated on my consumer report. This is another blatant violation. Pursuant to 15 USC 1681a ( 2 ) ( B ), any authorization or approval of a specific extension of credit of a credit card should be excluded from my consumer report. This alleged transaction that Transunion clearly did not investigate is categorized as a transaction that was issued from a credit card ; credit card as defined under 15 USC 1602 ( L ). Definition attached and highlighted in EXHIBIT B.
