I've called 4 credit bureaus including the three main ( Experian, XXXX, XXXX and XXXX ) multiple times over the past several months and never got a response on updating my personal information and/or was told there is nothing they can do about it. I have personal information on my reports that I do not want on there due to it being incorrect and/or completely outdated. According to the Fair Credit Reporting act 15 USC Code 1681... I have the right to privacy. ( The banking system is dependent upon fair and accurate credit report- ing . Inaccurate credit reports directly impair the efficiency of the banking system, and unfair credit reporting methods undermine the public confidence which is essential to the continued functioning of the banking system. ) In addition, according to 15 USC 6802 ... No financial institution is supposed to share my information to third parties including third party companies nor third party people. Nevertheless, especially when the information is wrong and misleading. ( Obligations with respect to disclosures of personal information ) These are very clear violations of my federally protected consumer rights.
