I have been trying to have my account with XXXX XXXX XXXX updated as it is reporting inaccurately. They continue to violate my rights under the FCRA and the credit bureaus are allowing this. This was for a car I had and was in an accident with. The car was totaled and the insurance promptly paid it off. There was no money left over to pay because the insurance company even sent me a check for what was left over. They continuously report this wrong on my report. Each bureau is reporting this one account 3 different ways. I even reached out to the insurance company requesting information regarding payment. They sent me a letter with the information showing it was paid. How can this be showing as a charge off when the insurance company settled the debt. I have sent 3 letters to the bureaus since XXXX requesting removal of this because there is no way they validated this as accurate. I requested information about who they spoke with and when to validate this is they indicate it was validated. I have not received any responses regarding this. One bureau has it as paid while the other 2 has it as derogatory. The account status, date of last activity and account status is inaccurate across all 3 bureaus. With this many errors, how can they believe this to be accurate. Regardless of that, the car was paid off!!! It was paid as agreed and I do not owe anything on it. This is tarnishing my credit history and no one is attempting to resolve this.
