I added a freeze to my Equifax credit report on XX/XX/XXXX and Ive been lifting the freeze periodically so that creditors can access my report. However, recently I called in to lift the freeze and was told I need to mail utility bills in order to lift the freeze. On the letter dated XX/XX/XXXX, the letter clearly states a PIN number which I have used before to lift the freeze and the representative would ask for other details regarding my report to verify my identity to lift the freeze. I have called numerous times and can not get through to an agent to lift my report. I would like the freeze to be lifted permanently since Equifax is making it so difficult for me to access my own file.
