I asked Equifax to look into incorrect information on a reported account- XXXX account # XXXX. Equifax sent an email 2 hours later stating that everything was correct. Equifax did not contact XXXX to verify information. This account was never paid late. The information in the report is incorrect. Equifax did not take the time to conduct a proper investigation and as such has violated my rights. In accordance with the Fair Credit reporting act XXXX account # XXXX has violated my rights. 15 U.C.S 1681 section 602 A. states I have the right tom privacy. 15 U.S.C 1681 Section A. 2 : it also states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instructions
