Sallie Mae has provided me no grace period for my loans. After complaining multiple times, I was still not given an answer. I graduated school in XX/XX/XXXX to which the next month I began to get charged. I called before I had a balance to which I tried to see if there were any programs that I could enroll to defer. I am unemployed. I could not make payments and they gave me no way to pay them time and time again. In XXXX, I was told that I had to provide proof I was in school in XXXX, which I did. I provided both my transcripts, school clearing house records through fax and via secure document portal. I had to borrow money from family to not go into default. They continued to charge me monthly. They could never answer my question regarding, my grace period. They have never tried to give it to me and continue to harass me day, night and day after day with emails and calls. It comes to the point of where I can't even answer my phone if jobs are calling me because of the harassment. In XXXX, they tried to sign me up with this repayment program of where you only pay interest because it was the only option given to me. They would still send emails and calls harassing me, they have even tried to take out money before it was due. They don't allow you to make custom payments on their website. They don't allow you to send payment with a card. They only allow payments through a bank account, with total amount due. I spoke to multiple employees ; Where I have recorded multiple conversations and I have a bunch of their employee numbers.As of XX/XX/XXXX, their employees and supervisors lied. I was told if I paid with borrowed money I would be eligible for a forbearance. My account was made current. I talked to XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX ( lied about her name )! They told me that after my payment, I could have forbearance. Now the supervisor XXXX XXXX said the FDIC doesn't do forbearance and they can't help me. She had no resolution for their improper practices.
