Consumer Narrative

In response to Well 's Fargo letter dated XX/XX/XXXX, subject known as " resolution to the inquires received for mortgage account XXXX and home equity loan XXXX. '' The following statements were falsely stated : Wells Fargo stated the property was a second home? This was not true and In fact the home was still my primary residence at the time of my initial Modification request. Wells Fargo stated my gross income in XXXX was XXXX per month? This was also not true and although I was forced to leave Florida for a higher paying job due to the toxic Pick-A-Pay loan it also carried a high cost burden. My family remained in Florida while I XXXX XXXX XXXX trying to make ends meet out of state. I had a {$2800.00} a month rental, XXXX credit card debt and only the reprieve of not making mortgage payments to Wells Fargo at the time saved me from declaring bankruptcy. Wells continues to state that I could afford to make the payments to both the 1st and 2nd loan, but the only way I was approved in the first place for the loan was through the banks deception and predatory loan practices. I was initially denied for a conventional loan and then offered the tricky Pick-A-Payment loan which was latter discovered to be a loophole around the loan qualification process of a conventional loan. So you see it was known right from the beginning that I was unable to afford the loan, yet it was offered in way that circumvented the process norms and provided a false narrative to the Consumers, who believed that if the loan was granted it must be within their budgetary means. All so someone could get even richer... So sad! What really gets me the most is that Wells Fargo knows this to be true and instead of taking the higher road and look to make things right with their Customers in anyway possible they rather continue to inflict as much pain and suffering as possible under the guise of doing all they can to help their Customers in need... Well back to my complaint specifics and to be clear the home was not my secondary home, I was not making XXXX a month and I had considerable debt that was not taken into account during the XXXX modification request. the modification offered at the time only provided the illusion of fiscal support. It was as destructive as the initial loan as it didn't even provide for a fixed rate. In its latest admission of wrongdoing to customers, Wells Fargo said faulty computer software that the bank developed caused it to deny, or not offer, lower mortgage payments to customers who should have qualified for the adjustments. The bank disclosed the error last Friday afternoon in a 173-page quarterly securities filing generally read by investors, in a section titled Additional Efforts to Rebuild Trust. READ NEXT BANKING This Wells Fargo mistake cost hundreds of people their homes XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX Wells apologized for the modification mistake. The bank said the problem affected homes in the foreclosure process from XXXX to XXXX, when many people were still staggering from the soured economy. More than 300 people contacted XXXX XXXX after Wells revealed the modification problem, wanting to know if they qualify for any compensation and many wondering if the Wells Fargo error had cost them their house.
