While recovering from a medical illness a few years ago, I was advised to file for bankruptcy. About two to three weeks after filing, I withdrew the application. No decision or verdict made. I withdrew the application for bankruptcy. Transunion penalized my credit score for applying despite changing my mind. That is unfair and restricts consumers from looking at all options when life gets complicated. My credit score for Transunion is XXXX, while it is XXXX for XXXX. Granted, neither is excellent, but at XXXX, I am eligible for a VA loan. I filed a dispute, and a decision was made, but I could not access that decision. I called Transunion because I could not log in to access their decision. A representative stated he would provide a temporary password to override the suspension on my account. I tried to log in too many times. He did not follow through. Transunion is a colossal company whose credit score affects my life. Yet, its customer service and experience frustrate me when I request help. They are unhelpful and put my life in jeopardy with their determination to limit my access to credit.
