On or about XX/XX/XXXX I wrote a check for {$1500.00} to the XXXX XXXX Georgia property tax unit, and put it in the mail. On or about XX/XX/XXXX I received a notice from XXXX XXXX that my property taxes were in arrears. I looked in my checking account and saw that this check had been stolen, washed and deposited, via mobile deposit, at PNC bank for the benefit of XXXX XXXX. All customer fields had been overwritten. My signature had been forged, and the amount was overwritten to the original amount : {$1500.00}. PNC accepted the deposit, and my account was charged. I contacted my bank immediately ; they have been trying to get reimbursement from PNC. Today, at the suggestion of my bank, I filed a complaint with PNC case # XXXX.
