I had a car loan with XXXX XXXX XXXX that started in XX/XX/XXXX. I was a co-signer for my daughter and was unaware of the payment history. When I did find out after someone called me about a repo, I took over the payments as of XX/XX/XXXX when I paid what was owed plus the payment for XX/XX/XXXX. I was told my next payment would be in XXXX. Then in XXXX when I called to make a payment, they advised me that I owed XXXX as well! I had them check their records and it showed that I did pay double in XXXX to cover XXXX however they REFUSED to remove their mistake. Going forward, I paid more than the payment just to get this over with. Sick with XXXX XXXX, I made my last payment in XX/XX/XXXX. While making that payment, the lady couldn't figure out why she couldn't take the whole payment. I sat on the phone while she figured it out and she said that when you start a loan with a XXXX XXXX, that they start a savings account which had {$5.00} in it. So I'd have to pay everything minus {$1.00} which they would take out of the savings, close that account and send me a check for {$4.00}. I could careless about that {$4.00}, I just wanted this account paid and behind me, I wasn't even looking for that check. However, late XXXX, I get a call from XXXX, saying that I am a month overdue on my payment!! I ask this lady, how is that when it was paid in full last month! This crazy lady said the balance was a {$1.00}! I asked her if she was serious? Who in their right mind would do that? I explained to her what the obviously very new employee did and said the month before and that I was waiting for a {$4.00} check as well as the title to the car. I was THEN informed that I need to write a letter stating that I no longer wanted the savings account and that then they would take the dollar and close the account. It needed to be hand written and have my signature and then emailed over. I did that AS SOON as I hung up and it was fixed. NO FAULT OF MINES that the first lady didn't know what she was doing and then they refused to take off the late payment on my report for XXXX on Experian and XXXX, it was fixed before hitting Transition.
