Earlier in XXXX I enrolled in a program with Sallie Mae to forbear one monthly payment, and then reduce my monthly payments ( subject to re-negotiation ) for a period moving forward. I have proof of this agreement via a recorded call with a Sallie Mae representative. After the call, Sallie Mae refused to honor the agreement, and reported my account to collections, despite telling me I was in a one-month forbearance period. In addition to this mistake, they have called and emailed me 10 or more times a week reminding me to make payments, even though a payment is not due considering what was agreed to on the phone. I'd like to report Sallie Mae and their partners for predatory lending, misrepresenting loan information, and relentless reminders about loans being due, even when they are not.
