The account is a collections account reported on XXXX and XXXX from XXXX in the amount of {$770.00}. I was laid off from my job because of Covid-19, which was around XXXX of XXXX. Considering, I have lost my Health benefits as well. I had to apply for health coverage from the state. My Health policy with Health First was not effective until XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX, but however, I was told by a Rep from Health First, that I was able to use my coverage before hand and everything will be fine. So, I used my coverage on XX/XX/2020 because I was exposed to Covid-19 and it was an urgency that I go get checked for myself and family. The Clinic took my coverage and assured me that everything was good to go. It has been over 2 years and I'm just now receiving letters in the mail, starting a month or so back, stating this amount. The letter never stated that my coverage did not cover that visit. Also, was unaware considering that me and my father have the same exact name. I haven't received any notice stating that it was not covered at all around the time went to be tested for Covid-19, etc ... and it has been over 2 years.. Now its being reported on my credit report as an collections account and I would like for this to be removed from my credit report immediately due to Covid-19, false information given to me and lack of communication regarding this matter. Don't think I was treated properly in this matter. I was completely unaware that I was not able to use my coverage before the effectiveness of my policy and was told I could by a rep.
