I fell behind on my payments with Avant credit card and contacted them to see if they had any available programs to get caught back up. I was advised of this re-aged program and was told that I would have setup a payment arrangement in order to get back on track. I had concerns regarding the late fees assessed and was led to believe that I wouldnt incur late fees as long as payment is made. I received my bill and noticed that I received a late fee. I called to speak with a supervisor and was told that one would call me back, however, one never did. I called again and was told that I would be subject to fees because I am not making the minimum payment due. How can that be if myself and the company agreed upon a payment arrangement. I feel like I was misled by the company and they are not honoring the agreement. What sense does it makes to be in a program for which the goal is to bring the account current and get caught up on payments. It seems like the goal is to keep someone owing because the account will never get current because the payments I will be making is essentially isnt going to make a dent in the balance because of late fees they are going to charge me.
