Consumer Narrative
XX/XX/2022 - I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX to initiate a Dispute of a negative report of a XXXX day late on my credit. ( see letter from XXXX dated XXXX attached ) XX/XX/2022 - XXXX wrote XXXX XXXX XXXX to advise them of an error in credit reporting of the one and only ( ever ) late payment on my XXXX lease account in connection with my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( Lease Account ending in XXXX ). XX/XX/2022 - XXXX initiated a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, related to a late payment on the above-referenced lease account in XX/XX/2022, which was caused by a Bank error on the part of my linked Easy-Pay checking account with XXXX XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX I received a response letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/2022 ( see attached ) wherein XXXX XXXX that they reported my account as XXXX days late ( under the FCRA ). XX/XX/2022 - XXXX verified that a payment submitted on XX/XX/2022 was returned unpaid by my bank as a result of the documented BANK ERROR ( see attached Letter from XXXX XXXX ). XX/XX/2022 - XXXX XXXX XXXX further advised that the payment due on XX/XX/2022 was SATISFIED on XX/XX/2022 ( which was 30 days after the payment due date and resulted in a a XXXX day delinquency reporting for XX/XX/2022. ** NOTE : XXXX stated that my payment was XXXX DAY too late as had it been received on the XXXX day, then XXXX would NOT have been able to report this XXXX day delinquency as they had done. XXXX XXXX XXXX failed to complete their investigation within 30 days, as is required. Indeed, to apply the very same " zero-tolerance '' rigor applied to me in being ONE DAY too late in my XXXX payment satisfaction ( caused by documented bank error ), then so too should XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to the same strict time standard in their investigation- which they applied to my curative payment. ** CONCLUSION ** XXXX XXXX XXXX ' response letter was dated 32 days following my Request for Investigation ( AND 36 DAYS FOLLING THE DATE I ACTUALLY RECIEVED THEIR RESPONSE on XX/XX/2022 ).
